I never, ever allow myself, but they always seem so cheering.

Bright shoes, yes. Bright boots, no. It’s that simple. :)

  2. Tracy says:

I like them in theory, but I’m not sure they would work in practice.

  3. Donna says:

yes! I love color. (but interestingly, I don’t own any colorful boots. Hmmmmm)

I love a coloured boot to add some interest to an otherwise plain outfit. I have a pair of storm blue Camilla Skovgaard wedges with the saw tread and feel special and fun every time I wear them. Give it a try

    You call those bright?

I have been hearting these Fiorentini & Baker boots all season. http://www.shopamano.com/products/fiorentini-baker-ella-suede
Okay yeah, the color isn’t exactly bright but for a woman who’s wardrobe mainly consists of black, grey, and navy, they are a step in the “bright” direction!

Thanks for the tip. While your gorgeous boots are sold out, there are MANY others on the A Mano site that I would love to have – and I am by no means typically a boot person, until now, I guess.

Happy to share! If you like what you see at AMano, I would also recommend checking out Ped Shoes. It was the original store in Seattle until the owner moved to California and went online only. http://www.pedshoes.com/

I will state I have no affiliation with either store other than as a customer. Thanks for letting me share Kim.

i admired the kork-ease marlo booties (i have a bunch of kork-ease shoes and find them so comfy) in bosforo blue — so unlike me, yet i coveted — and watched them keep dropping in price on zappos and 6pm but couldn’t quite pull the trigger. and now they are sold out everywhere in that color, so apparently a) i was prisoner to my fears and b) other people did not share these fears.

  8. Robbi says:

Why not? They aren’t a huge financial commitment plus who doesn’t need a little color right now? They’re like a scarf for your feet!

  9. Diane says:

Love love love. Very fun, not too gaudy, nice pop.

  10. c.w. says:

I have a pair of Kate Spade purple suede boots with fringe. When I wear them I get compliments from men. I also just bought a pair of Cole Haan pink suede wing tips with orange soles––which is to say––I apparently have no aversion to color on my feet. In short…buy the boots.

  11. Lorimac says:

I own a pair of blue suede shoe-boots (high vamp, high heels). I bought them in an attempt to have a pair of shoes that blend seamlessly with denim jeans, but when I got them home, I realized that they were MUCH brighter blue than any jeans I had ever owned, but just like c.w., everytime I wear them, I get compliments, usually accompanied by some reference to Elvis…but still, kind of fun! So, a Yes vote from me too. Just be ready for total strangers singing to you, “just don’t step on my….”!

absolutely with skinny black jeans, color blocking for the nether regions

  13. Amy says:

I have a mustard pair of boots that I love. They are surprising more versatile than I originally thought.

  14. AmyM says:

Are you kidding? Of COURSE! I can’t think of a single reason not to.
