I could not have been much later to the game on Arrested Development, and in fact might never have caught on at all were it not for a monster flu a few years back, when I parked myself in bed with a big old mug of tea, some cough syrup, and Hulu. Before long I’d watched the whole series—and was completely consumed with the Bluths, possibly TV’s most comically dysfunctional family of all time. It’s hard to think of a show with as uniformly hilarious a cast—which is saying a lot indeed, given the size of the cast. And pretty much every star of Arrested Development was at their best during its three-season run (seriously, check out a few episodes and see if you aren’t mystified as to why Portia de Rossi’s comic chops haven’t gotten her cast in a new sitcom of her own). Thrillingly, fourteen new Arrested episodes are set to arrive on Netflix in May, and—in a very bold move—they’ve just announced they’ll all drop on the same day. Such exciting news for binge-viewers everywhere.

I am working through Season 3 after an extended layover at the Seattle airport a few months back. The guest appearances are epic. Between this and the forthcoming Scientology book from the Morning Links, so many mild obsessions to indulge.
I’ve already told the Hubs he is taking that day off so we can park our cans on the sectional and laugh until our spleens fall out.
omg, i bought the whole box set for the dh a few years back just in case TEOTWAWKI happens. not a doomer, just cautious. But then how, would play back DV’s if no electricity? Cannot wait for the big drop and the film to come.
