Re Lady Parts Justice. I think it’s great that people want to be active.
I am a little confused why there needs to be a new group though? I didn’t see that on the site. Sometimes I wonder whether people start new groups just so that they can lead them, rather than contributing to people who are already doing the same work. I call this “leaderitis,” and it is rampant in the US. I suspect it may be inefficient. And we wouldn’t have marching bands, like that one from OSU, if there weren’t people willing to be part of a group rather than leading it. I’ve been in a marching band, and it’s a different experience from being a soloist. I found it valuable. I wonder if this idea is slowly going out of style.
I hope I won’t get banned here for being too cranky. I could tone it down.
Thanks for sharing the link to LadyPartsJustice. The name alone is awesome.
And to Viajera: I think the purpose of the group is to raise awareness. They clearly support existing groups, particularly Planned Parenthood. But my take on the group and site is that they are just trying to get the word out about anti-woman legislation. And frankly the more of that the better!
Is there a Lady Parts Justice t-shirt?
