the Forbes womens list is so depressing – everyone of those women inherited or married their money
none are self made
But the Spanx lady is self-made, i believe. I didn’t read the list, but I read about her in the paper. I think it all started b/c she went shopping for white pants.
Which I tried to find this year, actually, but no luck. Seems to me, with white they have to fit better. I was looking for white jeans and nothing looked right.
I think maybe the problem is, I like my jeans flared or bootcut, but maybe I need a crop if I’m going to go for white, in maybe a stiffer fabric, so it wouldn’t look all wrinkly all over the place. I mean, these are pants that technically fit me, they just looked like cr*p. In blue, they would have been okay.
Ah, but the Spanx lady didn’t make the Forbes list (she is only worth 1 billion, apparently to make the Forbes 400 you need to be worth 1.1 billion).
Nevertheless, I’ve certainly been a good customer to her, so she’s my favorite self-made woman billionaire!
