I’ve been slightly obsessed with abandoned spaces photos ever since finding the site Retronaut. I guess it is how things are just left. (The photos of abandoned Detroit are really heartbreaking.)
If loving the orange/red flap bag is wrong, I don’t want to be right.
While we do hate our “ruin porn” in Detroit, those shopping mall pictures hit a nerve… They remind me of being a teenager in the suburbs and hoping that, someday, I’d get to live somewhere that was more alive.
Okay, I went directly to the abandoned mall photos, not only because it was totally my youth, but also because I’m reading Gone Girl, and there is a whole abandoned-mall-with-people-living-there thing that is totally Night of the Comet (minus the zombies) to me, and even though it’s kind of creepy (the photos AND the book), the kid in me who hung out at the mall thinks it would be frigging AWESOME to hang out in an abandoned mall (arcade? tee shirt shoppe? orange juilus? MERRY-GO-ROUND????)…but I digress…
Thanks for any other informative website. The place else may I am getting that kind of info written in such a perfect means? I’ve a challenge that I’m simply now running on, and I have been at the glance out for such information.
