The bruise fixer

As the result of an injury sustained while jogging this weekend (that’ll teach her) my sister in law’s right hand is now a vivid shade of blue, and swollen up to medical textbook-worthy proportions. I can not bear to look at it (she emailed me a picture; I almost gagged) so I’ll probably avert my eyes when I bring her my only and treasured magical bottle of  Herb Pharm Arnica Oil. I don’t believe in the efficacy of a whole lot of homeopathic remedies, but arnica gets rid of bruises like nobody’s business. And because I bruise if anybody even looks at me mean, I’ve done my share of research in this department and can say without reservation that this Herb Pharm stuff is the best.

Brought a kid to the ER with a badly broken nose (much bruising) applying arnica under the tongue and on the face (pills and ointment).
By the time we saw the doctor the swelling and bruising was gone (it was a couple of hours) and only an x-ray could prove the break (the bone where your nose meets your upper lip).
    It’s the best stuff ever.

  2. How does it work for minimizing dark under eye circles?

It’s funny . . . I never used to believe in homeopathic remedies, but I’ve since discovered that many commonly used “remedial ointments” contain these so-called homeopathic remedies plus fillers – and they do work, but the pure, unadulterated “homeopathic” ingredients work even better! Case in point: jojoba oil, coconut oil, and sweet almond oil oil are all wonderful, especially when mixed with a variety of different beneficial essential oils or herbs, for the purposes of clarity, blemish control and anti-aging. It’s easy, cheaper, MORE EFFECTIVE, and actually a lot more fun!! I’m only so gung-ho about it because I used to be the biggest consumer of beauty products and thought it would be a pain to mix my own stuff, but now I feel like a high-end beauty apothecarian!

There’s also a product called Arnicare gel which you can find at Duane Reade. Kinda pricey at $12 a tube, but worth it! And if anyone finds out if works on undereye circles, please let me know…
