Thank you re Wilco – love the Mavis Staples/Jeff Tweedy “You are Not Alone” – just simple, impromptu.

The President’s right. In fact, no one should be watching the “Real Housewives.”

Andy Cohen should be ashamed of his role in the devolution of American cultural life. But of course he isn’t. And that’s a big part of the problem.

I wouldn’t mind having lunch with Nina Garcia. She seems like a very interesting lady – it will be interesting to see how she influences JCPenney.

I’m amazed that one tweet could push the stock up almost 10%. It actually makes me uneasy that one tweet could push a stock like that. On a separate note, I have to say I have big doubts about Ron Johnson’s ability to turn JCP around. I’m not sure the money that they would have to invest in turning the retail spaces around, and the marketing to change the consumers in-grained shopping behavior can be earned back. How big are the margins on those clothes anyway?

Good gravy! Like Target wasn’t evil enough! :)
