Those of you who’ve had to endure my not-infrequent moments of tribal print-inspired myopia might be surprised to learn that I almost never find myself falling for a tribal print bag—mostly because their lines are never quite clean enough for me to get over my fear that the whole thing would come off too hippie chick. But this Maje satchel is getting it exactly right. Also because of the clean color palette—which, yes, I know I tend to go on about too, but it makes a difference!

“Too hippie chick” — que es? ; >
I still think most people looked better in the 70s. So knock yourself out, is what I say.
$460??? I’ve come to love you in recent weeks, Strange New York Lady…..but even in the wilds of Ireland we don’t get *that* stoned!
(oh who am I kidding – we would if we could afford to – its raining in July & there’s nothing else to do…..)
On another note, my challenge, should you choose to accept it: go to Loehmanns on Broadway & 74th and find the best markdown on something fabulous. I saw Manolos down to NOTHIN’! lately – but they were hideous, so…….you may see this as an extension of the catalogue challenge!
I will have you know my grandma practically *raised* me at Loehmann’s, Missy. Also: you’re funny.
Oh Jeez…that bag reminds me of a serape that my mother brought back from Mexico in the 60s.
If I had $500 to put toward a new bag, I’d start saving for a Celine luggage tote. Or maybe I’d go back to TJMaxx where I recently saw all manner of gorgeous designer bags for insanely low prices.
Who am I kidding? I’d put it in my emergency fund. Stupid Midwestern upbringing…
That bag probably looks better in person. I’m trying to stick to light-weight bags these days. I find Nordstrom’s has a great selection – not in the handbag dept, but in an island near the clothing where they pick & choose bags, jewelry, scarves, belts, etc. Good pricing also.
Hmmmmm……if indeed this reminds everyone else of a Mexican sarape, let’s all have a margarita and check it out after we’ve had a few.
I have a feeling that with Margarita Goggles, this bag is gorgeous!
XOXO
