Crazy or cute? Part 2 of a (possibly infinite) series
Pants with prints have always scared me, but these seem like they could almost work, as the star pattern is very, very faint. And summer gives you permission to have at least a little bit of fun with a lighthearted trend or two. Still…nuts?
I disagree, but then I own the Target version of the grey leopard skinnies, so there’s that. I know, I know – I lived through floral and crazy pattern in the 80s, which means I shouldn’t be wearing it this time around, but I don’t care – Imma do it anyway. Besides, my daughter is only 4, so I could NEVER wear her pants now.
When I thought they were dots, at first, I didn’t like them. Then when I read that those are stars, I liked them better.
I’m not sure I believe in most age-related rules about what you can wear. Some, yes, but not all. Here, I don’t see a problem. If they look good on you and you like them, I say yes.
These are totally doable. Maybe not with the shoes, and definitely with just a plain white T-shirt or somesuch on top. And maybe go up a size, so they’re not too tight. Tiny faded stars?! Everything should have that.
I find it tough to make fashion decisions for others, especially those far better equipped than I (read: you) to make their own. That said, my vote would be no. I’m not against dressing from a theoretical daughter’s closet (my real-life daughter is nine months old), as I am prone to trolling the juniors section of Target. Still, these pants scream young, and possibly a bit Hollywood Blvd./girl-for-hire. Mmph. A series sounds promising, though. So glad to have found this blog. Lucky isn’t the same without you.
Cute if you’re 20. “Why are you wearing your daughter’s pants??!!” if you’re 40.
I know, I know. This is precisely the fear.
No. These are bad.

Today, I’m wearing H&M’s snake skin parachute pants at the office. I feel a little like I should be in Boca, and yet… I’m feeling pretty fly.

Maybe with a different pattern, but I can’t with the stars. Or hearts. Or anything that could be a design element on a Lisa Frank trapper-keeper.
Pants, no. Idea for ongoing series, yes.
not loving them, but yes to the series!

Starry, starry ass.
I don’t have a problem with printed pants in general (for any age), but I don’t like these. Stars just seem kind of twee.
Fug.
